HOW TO INSTALL/UN-INSTALL THE ADAPTER IN THE BACK OF A NOTEBOOK DRIVE

In order to make sure your drive fits and connects properly you have to know a little about your system.  In many cases and like the pictures below, your old drive or system will have a connector different than the drive you purchase.  The procedure to fix this is very easy;

1. Before you can do anything, locate the adapter installed on your old drive.

2. Carefully remove all the screws located on the back of the adapter (see red circle)

3. Once all the screws in the back have been removed, carefully pull the adapter away from the drive.

If done correctly, you should have  bare drive by now.

In case you want to install the adapter from your old drive to your new drive, follow this procedures backwards (step 3 to 1) and you'll be ready to use your new drive sooner than you espect.

If you have any further questions, feel free o contact our Technical Support Department from Monday thru Friday from 9am to 5pm at (714) 434-0103 Ext. 13.
